ANU to review military investments after pro-Palestine protests

The Australian National University (ANU) has introduced a review of its funding portfolio following months of pro-Palestine protests on its Canberra campus.

In April, college students arrange camp to protest towards the college’s investments in weapons corporations supplying to Israel.

ANU investments included BAE, Lockheed Martin and the Northrop Grumman Corporation, which reportedly amounted to $479,000 at the time.

The college students mentioned they’d not depart their encampment unattended till the college divested from these corporations and minimize ties with its alternate accomplice, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. 

Although the camps have now been largely disbanded and dozens of scholars are dealing with disciplinary motion for his or her involvement within the protests, the college has now responded to their calls for.
