Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Celebrated at Elpro International School

Elpro International School (EIS) celebrated India’s unwavering spirit and its 75 years of wonderful independence with satisfaction. In reminiscing the daybreak of Indian independence, EIS took a humble initiative of taking the Government’s imaginative and prescient of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ ahead by paying homage to its historic Freedom Movement.

The celebration was marked by the presence of some eminent personalities; Mr. Shyam and Mrs. Suman Siroor, Chairman and Director of COTMAC Group, who’re energetic members of the Performing Arts. The event was additionally graced by Padmashree Shekhar Sen and Mrs. Shweta Sen. Mr. Sen is a famend singer, lyricist and music composer who’s well-known for his musical performs titled “Tulsi”, “Kabeer”, “Vivekanand”, “Saahab” and “Soordas”.


 


The celebration commenced with musical renditions that evoked emotions of affection and respect in the direction of the Motherland. In true patriotic spirit, EIS showcased a particular play titled ‘Ek Nayi Fauj’ that centered across the story of India’s freedom wrestle. The play is the brainchild of Jaya Sarkar, a poet and one of many few ladies playwrights of India.


 


It is directed by Jayant Deshmukh, one of many high Art Directors of Bollywood, TV sequence and OTT platforms. ‘Ek Nayi Fauj’ rightly stirred emotions of patriotism because it superbly captured the essence of freedom by the lens of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. The premiere of this present was held in Cuttack- the delivery place of Netaji earlier in July. Elpro takes satisfaction in being the primary one to host it in Western India.  


 


The stage manifested in radiant colors of nationwide satisfaction, historical past and tradition because the celebration reached its end result. Students took satisfaction within the glory of India’s wealthy historic previous. The event promoted a way of collectiveness, brotherhood and unity amongst the college neighborhood.


 


Director Principal, Dr. Amrita Vohra prolonged heat needs on the event and mentioned, “I am proud to be a part of such a glorious history and I am glad how India continues to forge ahead by realizing the dreams of our freedom fighters.” She added, “We take pride in hosting a theatre play in our school auditorium. EIS believes in promoting the craft of theatre and film making and it gives me immense happiness to share that Elpro is the only school in Pune to introduce film-making as a subject after Grade 10.
