Hollywood matchmaker Amber Kelleher-Andrews has sadly passed away at the age of 56 after a long fight with ovarian cancer. Her family announced her death on April 13.

Before becoming a matchmaker, Kelleher-Andrews worked as a model and actress. She was notably involved with Eva Longoria on NBC’s reality show “Ready for Love” in 2013. Her expertise also appeared on popular shows like “Good Morning America,” “Today,” and “20/20.”
Throughout her career, she matched many celebrities, including Hoda Kotb, Paula Abdul, David Spade, and Terrell Owens. Her cousin, Morgan Kelleher, shared that Amber had a bright and infectious personality, leaving behind three children and a devoted husband of 25 years.
Kelleher-Andrews had been battling Stage 4 ovarian cancer since 2017. Although she briefly went into remission, the disease returned aggressively. Morgan noted how Amber faced her illness with grace, always finding moments to make others laugh.
As the CEO of Kelleher International, her family’s matchmaking firm founded in 1997, she played a significant role in the industry. She also contributed to Virgin Unite, the charity started by Richard Branson. Branson expressed his sadness over her passing, calling Amber a treasure who spread joy wherever she went.
Amber’s career started in acting, featuring in films like “Bloodsport III” and TV shows such as “Baywatch” and “Melrose Place,” under the name Amber Van Lent. Beyond her professional life, her family described her as a fun-loving mom who cherished moments spent swimming, dancing, and traveling with loved ones.
Ovarian cancer statistics reveal that it affects about 1 in 78 women in the U.S., making awareness and early detection crucial. Morgan’s insights highlight that the disease often recurs more aggressively, underscoring the importance of ongoing research and support for those affected. The fight against ovarian cancer is a collective effort, with many organizations working tirelessly to find more effective treatments and raise awareness.
Amber Kelleher-Andrews leaves behind a legacy not only in matchmaking but also in the joyous memories etched in the hearts of those who knew her.
