BookMyShow’s Red Lorry Film Festival in Mumbai showcases 100 films across genres

From the ethereal landscapes of international films to the acquainted embrace of timeless classics, BookMyShow’s Red Lorry Film Festival was a tapestry of tales of affection, loss, laughter, shock and extra, bringing out the numerous shades of cinema. Curated by Book My Show, the three-day movie competition from April 5 to 7, was held at Maison INOX at Jio World Plaza and Maison PVR at Jio World Drive, BKC, Mumbai.

The competition opened with the unique premiere of Alex Garland’s Civil War, earlier than its international launch. The grand opening was attended by famend film-makers, celebrities and well-known names from the trade; adopted by three days of cinematic delights, with over 100 films across genres. Spanning over 10 languages corresponding to Swedish, French, Spanish, German, Turkish, and Russian amongst others. The content material included premieres, Hollywood blockbusters, world cinema, documentaries, retrospectives and tributes.

Audiences flocked to expertise the epic grandeur of Lawrence of Arabia, the meditative great thing about Tatami and the gripping depth of Civil War. They have been equally captivated by the whimsical allure of Poor Things and the intrigue of Lord Curzon ki Haveli. Berlin transported viewers to a world of uncooked emotion and stark actuality, whereas Love Actually continued to resonate with its heartfelt portrayal of affection in all its types. Adding to the attract, intriguing and differentiated tales corresponding to Blow Up, Psycho, Frenzy, The Lady from Shanghai and Perfect Days drew in crowds, showcasing the enduring attraction and timeless relevance of cinema across generations.

After making waves across the globe, Lord Curzon Ki Haveli had an Indian premiere because the Centrepiece-Spotlight movie on the movie competition. The black-comedy thriller has in its lead roles Emmy nominee Arjun Mathur, the queen of OTT Rasika Duggal, the Marvel woman Zoha Rahman who starred in Spiderman: Far From Home, together with Paresh Pahuja who grew to fame after Tiger Zinda Hai, Tanmay Dhanania identified for his roles in Brahman-Naman and Rapist with the legendary Garrick Hagon from Mission Impossible and Indiana Jones — a dream solid which has been garnering rave critiques. Arjun, Rasika and Paresh joined in to look at the movie with the viewers on the competition.

The solid of the spy-thriller Berlin, Aparshakti Khurana, Rahul Bose, Kabir Bedi and Ishwak Singh, together with the director Atul Sabharwal, and National Award-winning movie composer, Vipin Mishra, director of the docu-series Folkroad, additionally attended the screening of their titles on the competition and engaged in an in-depth dialogue following the screening.
