Budget 2023 | Highest-ever capital outlay of ₹2.4 lakh crore for railways

The Union Budget has proposed a document budgetary allocation of ₹2.40 lakh crore for the Indian Railways on February 1. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharam stated the allocation was over 9 occasions the quantity earmarked in monetary 12 months 2013-14.
