PARKERSBURG — Jason Landers, the president of Highmark Health Options West Virginia (HHO WV), has been honored with a spot in the West Virginia Executive Health Care Hall of Fame for 2025.

Landers is one of just 12 individuals receiving this recognition this year. It’s a tribute to his outstanding work in improving health care in West Virginia over his 30-year career.

“I’m honored to join the West Virginia Health Care Hall of Fame,” Landers said. “It’s humbling to be recognized alongside such accomplished executives. This award reflects the dedication of my colleagues and community partners. I see this achievement as a team effort.”

Highmark Health Options West Virginia is the newest managed care organization (MCO) in the state. Launched on August 1, it is also the first Blue Cross Blue Shield-branded MCO to operate in West Virginia. HHO WV is rapidly growing and now serves members in every county.

Established by West Virginia Executive Magazine, the Hall of Fame was created in 2020 to honor leaders in health care. It aims to spotlight those who have made lasting, positive changes for the health and well-being of West Virginians.

HHO WV provides managed care for individuals qualifying for Medicaid, supporting members in accessing necessary health services. They focus on improving health outcomes, enhancing the health care experience, and keeping services affordable.

The organization serves a diverse group, including low-income individuals, expectant mothers, children, and those with disabilities. For more information, visit wv.highmarkhealthoptions.com.
