Discover Boston’s Museum of Science: Yearlong Program Featuring Dr. Anthony Fauci Launches!

Boston’s Museum of Science is kicking off a fascinating yearlong program called “Being Human.” This series will dive into the connections that make us human. One of the highlights includes Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, who will be a key part of the digital offerings.

The initiative aims to showcase how we are all linked through various aspects of life. It will feature talks and events with well-known figures like Arianna Huffington, co-founder of The Huffington Post. While Fauci will participate in online discussions, Huffington is set to visit the museum in April.

Led by the museum’s Center for Life Sciences, “Being Human” is part of the Centers for Public Science Learning. Director Insoo Hyun mentioned, “This series invites everyone to explore the shared qualities that connect us.” In challenging times, understanding what we have in common can guide us toward healthier and more fulfilling lives.

The program will cover diverse topics such as women’s health, the role of AI in medicine, aging, body systems, and genetics. Fauci will be featured in the latest season of The Big Question, a video series spotlighting major scientific discoveries. Huffington will lead a symposium on AI and healthcare on April 10.

The series officially launched on January 30 with an event showcasing partnerships with institutions like Emerson College and MIT’s Jameel Clinic. Attendees were also treated to a sneak peek of “imPRINTING: The Artist’s Brain,” which offers a unique experience through a data-encoded ‘thinking cap’ simulation.

This isn’t the museum’s first themed series. In recent years, they have focused on Mars and climate change. Each month in 2025, new initiatives related to “Being Human” will be announced, ensuring there’s plenty to look forward to!
