One of my favorite events in New Jersey is the NJ State BBQ Festival, happening from July 11 to 13 in North Wildwood. It’s an outdoor celebration full of delicious BBQ that makes your mouth water.
This festival features the best barbecue from across the state. Alongside the BBQ delights, you can enjoy the Anglesea Blues Festival, which showcases amazing blues bands from New Jersey and nearby areas.
I’m excited to share that I’ll be broadcasting my show live from the festival on Saturday, July 12, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It’s always a fantastic atmosphere, filled with the tempting aroma of grilling meats and a lively crowd.
The BBQ Festival has been running since 1997, organized by the dedicated Anglesea Volunteer Fire Department. These volunteers work hard to ensure everything runs smoothly. I’ve attended many times, and I can confidently say that they create a fun and welcoming environment for everyone.
The BBQ competition is judged by the prestigious Kansas City Barbecue Society, which is known for recognizing the best BBQ across the nation. It adds a special level of excitement to the festival.
For me, broadcasting from this festival is like being in heaven. The lively atmosphere, friendly people, and, of course, the BBQ make it an unforgettable experience. Before I head home, I always pick up some rubs and sauces from my favorite BBQ teams to recreate that festival flavor in my own kitchen.
The festival also offers BBQ classes and entertainment for the whole family. It’s a wonderful way to spend a day, making it one of the best festivals in New Jersey.
So, come out to North Wildwood this July! You won’t want to miss the food, music, and fun.
