Mahua Moitra has been accused of taking cash to ask questions in parliament.

Mahua Moitra’s login and journey particulars have been sought by the parliamentary Ethics Committee, which is inquiring into complaints of “cash for query” in opposition to the Trinamool Congress MP and held its first listening to on Thursday.
The Ethics Committee has written to the Union IT and Home ministries for particulars of Mahua Moitra’s logins and areas to attempt to confirm allegations that she allowed businessman Darshan Hiranandani to entry her parliamentary login to put up questions immediately for Lok Sabha.
The Lok Sabha MP has been accused of taking cash to ask questions in parliament, on behalf of the businessman, allegedly designed to focus on the federal government and the Adani Group.
The panel has additionally written to the Ministry of External Affairs to verify if an affidavit by Darshan Hiranandani, who is predicated in Dubai, is ratified.
In the affidavit, Mr Hiranandani had alleged that Mahua Moitra shared her Lok Sabha e-mail ID so he may ship her data focusing on the Adani Group and she or he may increase questions in parliament. He claimed she later gave him the login so he may put up immediately.
The panel has mentioned it is going to name “no more witnesses” after listening to Mahua Moitra, and submit its report to start with of November.
In an almost three-hour listening to yesterday, the committee heard BJP MP Nishikant Dubey and lawyer Jai Anant Dehadrai and mentioned each facet of the allegations they’ve made in opposition to the Trinamool MP.
Nishikant Dubey had first written to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to begin the inquiry, following Mr Dehadrai’s grievance to the Supreme Court.
Mr Dehradai, whom Ms Moitra known as a “jilted ex”, claims “irrefutable evidence” of Darshan Hiranandani giving the Trinamool chief bribes to ask questions crucial of the Adani Group.
Ms Moitra has denied all allegations and mentioned that she is able to reply questions from the committee.
