Exciting Move: Busy Broncos Set to Sign Linebacker Dre Greenlaw

The Denver Broncos have signed veteran linebacker Dre Greenlaw, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Greenlaw, who used to play with Talanoa Hufanga on the San Francisco 49ers, has shown great potential when healthy.

Since entering the league in 2019, Greenlaw has tallied impressive stats: 455 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries, 3 interceptions, and 14 passes defended. He has the skills to make a significant impact on the field.

However, injuries have plagued his career. Greenlaw has missed 36 games due to various injuries, including issues with his quad, groin, and hamstring. His 2024 season was limited to just two games as he was recovering from a torn Achilles sustained in Super Bowl LVIII.

Originally a fifth-round draft pick from Arkansas, Greenlaw quickly became a key player for the 49ers. In his rookie season, he made a critical tackle in a game against the Seattle Seahawks. That tackle helped San Francisco clinch the NFC West title and secure home-field advantage in the playoffs, leading them to a Super Bowl appearance.

If he can stay healthy, Greenlaw has the potential to be a strong asset to the Broncos’ defense.
