The Livigno World Rookie Fest 2025 has kicked off, bringing an exciting week of action for young athletes. The sun shone brightly today, and the chilly weather created a perfect winter day for skiing. Despite a bit of wind in the morning, the vibes among participants were fantastic.

The Mottolino Snowpark is impressively set up, designed to meet the needs of freeskiers and coaches from around the globe. It features a balanced mix of elements, including rails and kickers of various sizes. While some adjustments might be needed as the event continues, the initial feedback from riders has been very positive.
For many newcomers, this event is more than just a competition; it’s a significant step in their athletic journey. The Livigno World Rookie Fest often marks their first experience on a bigger stage, and the lessons learned here go beyond winning medals. From early morning practice to fun moments after skiing, every part of this week helps them grow, personally and as athletes.
This festival isn’t just about the races; it’s also a unique opportunity for young athletes to connect and improve in a lively environment. Coaches and teams are actively helping the rookies fine-tune their runs and master their tricks as they gear up for the upcoming contests.
Race Director Gian Luca “Jimmi” Zanetti shared his excitement:
“Today was a fantastic start with impressive performances during training. The snowpark is in great shape, and while we can make some tweaks, the course is ready for high-energy runs. It’s wonderful to see so many young talents here in Livigno, highlighting how much this event has developed over the years.”
