Everyone—students, alumni, and families—are welcome to join in on a week packed with activities. Save the date for Homecoming weekend on October 24-25!
This Homecoming is special, especially for alumni from classes ending in 0 and 5. There will be breakfast events, special gifts, and tickets to catch the thrilling football game against Glenville State University. Classes that shine in donor participation will get recognized in the “Hilltop is Home” fundraising campaign.
The week will feature WLU traditions like the pep rally, parade, and Serenades. One highlight is the crowning of Homecoming royalty during halftime of the football game. Additionally, there will be a banquet to honor this year’s Wall of Honor inductees and the Impact of Philanthropy awardees on Friday night.
Thursday, October 23, marks the opening of two new centers at WLU. The Gary E. West Aviation Center will hold an open house from 12:00 to 1:00 PM in Main Hall. At 2:00 PM, the Appalachian Aquatic Conservation Center will be inaugurated. Dr. Zachary Loughman, a biology professor, will give a talk at 3:00 PM about the benefits this center will bring to students and the community.
“We invite everyone to celebrate with us for a week filled with tradition and excitement,” said Dr. Tim Borchers, WLU President.
