During the outage, customers reported that the YouTube web page confirmed that “Something went wrong”. The Gmail web page additionally confirmed a message that mentioned “Gmail is currently unable to access your Contacts. You may experience issues while this persists.” When the customers began reporting the difficulty, Google was fast to reply and acknowledge the issue. According to the corporate, the outage was the end result of “an internal storage quota issue”.

According to a press release by Google spokesperson, “Today, at 3.47 AM PT Google experienced an authentication system outage for approximately 45 minutes due to an internal storage quota issue.
