Sean Gunn thinks evaluating Marvel and DC is like doing so with “apples and oranges”.

The 50-year-old actor – whose brother is DC Studios chief James Gunn – has appeared in each superhero sequence by Marvel’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ trilogy and DC’s ‘The Suicide Squad’, although has now insisted the two rival franchises are too completely different to match to 1 one other as a result of the latter is simply simply beginning its cinematic universe whereas the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has dominated cinema for greater than a decade.

In an interview with TheWrap, he mentioned: “I got here into the entire course of of working at Marvel as soon as the machine was form of already up and operating easily and doing properly.

“DC, I’ve done ‘Suicide Squad’, but now they’re kind of overhauling it, and it’s now ever since my brother took over as head of the studio. It’s sort of been a new process for them. So it would be, it’s really kind of true, like trying to compare apples and oranges.”

Even so, Sean defined that working with each studios felt “similar” to him as a result of he received to collaborate along with his brother.

He added: “Underneath all of it, working with my brother is extra related than it’s completely different to different issues.

“So, the fact that I was working with James in Marvel and James in DC makes it actually … there’s a lot more similarities in terms of process.”

Sean is about to look in his brother’s upcoming DC TV present ‘Creature Commandos’ and film ‘Superman’, the place he’ll play antagonist Maxwell Lord in the blockbuster.

The actor teased that his tackle the supervillain shall be fully distinctive and isn’t primarily based on any earlier live-action portrayals of the character.

He mentioned: “It’s all from written materials with things that we figure we’re looking at.”

Last month, James revealed that manufacturing on ‘Superman’ – which stars David Corenswet as the titular hero and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor – had completed and mentioned he was “forever grateful” to have labored with such a superb forged and crew on the flick.
