ITV newsreader Sascha Williams has give up the channel after 21 years.

Williams introduced the information on her social media pages, sharing a photograph collage of herself from over her twenty years on ITV News.

“After 21 years (and by the look of it, about as many hairstyles) it’s time to bid farewell to ITV,” she wrote. “It’s been one heck of a ride, working some of the absolute best in the business.”

“Will miss them lots,” she mentioned, including in reference to her 6.25am information bulletins: “Though probably not the 4am alarm.”

Williams’s colleagues have paid tribute to the newsreader following her announcement.

Meanwhile, her fellow presenter David Whiteley referred to as her “one of the very best in the business”.

Williams began working for the channel in 2003, when she turned a manufacturing journalist for ITV Anglia.

She rose via the ranks and, in 2013, turned an ITV News presenter. Before then, she appeared on Good Morning Britain and ITV News London.
