This event supports the Edmonds Food Bank and other local food banks. All donations will help those in need right here in our community. St. Alban’s appreciates the support from residents of South Snohomish and North King County, which enhances the efforts of their own congregation.

Food banks are facing challenges as the cost of food continues to rise. Donating helps meet the growing needs of those struggling with food insecurity. Recommended items include non-perishable foods like soups, tuna, canned meats, peanut butter, and dried pasta. Diapers and infant formula are also in high demand. Cash or checks made out to St. Alban’s, with “Food Drive” in the memo, are welcome as well.

Parishioners will be present to accept donations at the church, located at 21405 82nd Pl. W, near the Edmonds Five Corners intersection. Look for the signs for “St. Alban’s Church” on 84th Avenue West and 212th Street Southwest. For more details, you can reach them at 425-778-0371.

In recent years, food drives have become crucial. According to a report from Feeding America, food insecurity affects 1 in 8 people in the U.S. Heightened challenges during the pandemic led to a 50% increase in demand for food assistance. Supporting local drives, like the one at St. Alban’s, is vital for fostering a more resilient community.

Every contribution, whether big or small, makes an impact. Let’s come together and help those in need!
