Junaid Khan reveals his mother Reena Dutta made sure he and Ira Khan stayed away from the limelight – Newz9

Aamir Khan‘s son Junaid Khan, who has been receiving a lot appreciation for his function in his debut OTT movie ‘Maharaj’, talked about rising up with his mother Reena Dutta. He together with Maharaj‘s director Malhotra P Siddharth additionally spoke about the uncertainty in the launch as a result of a case filed towards the film.
During a dialog with The Quint, Junaid talked about how whereas rising up, his mother Reena Dutta ensured that he and his sister Ira Khan have been stored away from the highlight.He shared, “Ira and I are also a little older, and the presence of social media wasn’t that aggressive as it is today. Growing up, access to information was a lot and our mom ensured that we had our heads on our shoulders.”
In the similar interview, when Malhotra P Siddharth and Junaid Khan have been questioned about how they felt when the members of the Vaishnavite sect Pushtimarg moved to the Gujarat High Court and alleged that the movie comprises “scandalous and defamatory language, which affects the Pustimargi sect as a whole” and it’s “likely to incite feelings of hatred and violence against the sect”. To which, the director replied, “We shot the film three years back, but the wait to release it was never-ending. Also, the film is about one man’s ideology and not the entire community. We knew we had a good film and we never made it with the intention of hurting anyone.”
Junaid additional added by stating, “People who saw the film also felt that there was nothing that could hurt anyone.”
Directed by Sidharth and produced by YRF Entertainment, ‘Maharaj’ stars Junaid Khan in his debut function, together with Jaideep Ahlawat, Shalini Pandey and Sharvari Wagh. Based on true occasions from pre-independence India, the movie showcases the bravery of social reformer Karsandas Mulji, who challenged the establishment in a landmark authorized battle.
