Mauritius: Air Mauritius to resume Delhi non-stop flights from May 3 after 3 years – Newz9

NEW DELHI: After three years, Air Mauritius will from May 3, 2023, resume its direct flights to Delhi. The airline had final summer time resumed Mumbai flights that have been suspended in 2020 due to Covid.
The Delhi flight shall be weekly twice and the airline will deploy its 254-seater Airbus A330 that has enterprise and financial system cabins. Air Mauritius at the moment operates six weekly direct flights to Mumbai.
Air Mauritius CEO Krešimir Kučko mentioned they’re excited to resume operations to Delhi after three years of absence. “India and Mauritius share a special relationship that is built on the foundation of people-to-people ties. Both India and Mauritius are united by culture, ancestry, language and geography. This April, Air Mauritius is proudly commemorating its 50 years of presence in India. New avenues are being explored with Air India to offer seamless connectivity via Delhi as well as Mumbai to/ from several destinations in India.”
High commissioner of the Republic of Mauritius to India, Haymandoyal Dillum, said with the addition of two direct flights to Delhi, Air Mauritius, the national carrier of the country, will strengthen its network in India. “Enhanced connectivity will definitely increase tourism, commerce and enterprise exchanges, thus bringing the Mauritius-India relations to the following stage. This is one more milestone in our privileged bilateral relations.”
Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority director Arvind Bundhun mentioned the lengthy-awaited flight from Delhi to Mauritius is a serious milestone facilitating travellers from the northern a part of India to commute. “We foresee a steep rise within the footfalls on our land.”
