Addressing a coaching workshop ‘Countering Disinformation for Urdu Journalists’ organised by the division of Mass Communication and Journalism, MANUU, in collaboration with the division of Mass Communication and Journalism, Osmania University, and US Consulate General-Hyderabad, he mentioned there was a necessity to alter the character of discourse within the media in the direction of optimistic and factual data on the problems related to the general public.
MANUU Vice-Chancellor Syed Ainul Hasan urged mediapersons to work in the direction of constructing belief by strengthening digital media literacy and empowering people to determine, critically analyse and counter disinformation. He mentioned Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the primary Education Minister of Independent India, and Maulvi Muhammad Baqir, who was the primary martyr from Indian journalist neighborhood, used journalism as a weapon in the course of the freedom battle.
