MWC 2025 Highlights: Exciting Announcements from Samsung, Nothing, and More – Week 10 Recap

This week saw the excitement of the Mobile World Congress (MWC), a highlight in the tech calendar. News began rolling in last week, but we’re counting all of them for this event.

Big names like Infinix, Nothing, nubia, Samsung, Tecno, Xiaomi, and even Apple showcased new products in this tech buzz.

Let’s dive into the most talked-about announcements. Starting with Infinix, their Note 50 series made a splash in Indonesia. The Note 50 and Note 50 Pro boast larger 5,200mAh batteries, faster 144Hz displays, and improved cameras. The Note 50 comes in colors like Green and Red, starting at IDR 2,699,000 ($165). The Pro model features fancier colors like Purple and starts at IDR 2,999,000 ($182).

Next, Nothing revealed the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro. Both share specs but differ in design. They pack a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, up to 12GB RAM, and 6.77-inch OLED screens. Both models have 5,000mAh batteries and charge up to 50W. The Phone (3a) offers a 50MP main camera and a selfie camera, while the Pro includes a better zoom and a 50MP front camera as well.

The Phone (3a) starts at £329/€329/INR 24,999 for 8/128GB, while the Pro begins at £449/$459/€459 for the 12/256GB option.

ZTE’s nubia also joined in, launching the Neo 3 and Neo 3 GT, designed for budget gamers. Both feature 120Hz displays and shoulder triggers. The Neo 3 runs on a Unisoc T8300 chip with a 5,200mAh battery option. The Neo 3 GT ups the performance with a better chip and improved cooling.

Both phones are LTE-only.

The Phone (3a) series brings solid upgrades.

Nothing was eager to showcase their products at MWC.

The nubia Flip2 aims to be an affordable foldable option.

Samsung introduced several models: the Galaxy A56, A36, and S26. The A56 features an Exynos 1580 chip and a 6.7-inch display, with a 5,000mAh battery and 45W fast charging. It starts at €479/$499. The A36 has a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 and is priced similarly to its predecessor at $400/€380. The Galaxy A26 uses an older Exynos 1380 but is more affordable at €300 for the base model.

Samsung promises six years of security updates and OS upgrades for all three models.

Apple showcased new devices including a MacBook Air with the M4 chip and the new iPad range featuring the A16 and M3 chips.

The Galaxy A26 won’t be available.
