Netflix, YRF collaborate for a partnership, banners launch Junaid Khan’s debut film

Streaming platform Netflix and Yash Raj Films (YRF) on Friday introduced a multi-year inventive partnership, below which the studio will create movies and sequence that can outline storytelling in India and the world over. The first two tasks to come back out of this partnership are thriller sequence The Railway Men and Maharaj, a film marking the appearing debut of celebrity Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan.

Inspired by true occasions, Maharaj is an unbelievable David vs Goliath story set within the 1800s, about how a common man, journalist by career, takes on a highly effective role-model of society, hailed by many as a messiah for the plenty. The fearless reporter uncovers a sequence of incidents that shake the very basis of society. Also starring Jaideep Ahlawat, Sharvari and Shalini Pandey, the film has been directed by Siddharth P Malhotra.

Four-part sequence The Railway Men is predicated on the lethal gasoline leak within the central Indian metropolis of Bhopal. It is the untold story of the unsung heroes, who rose to the event that evening to save lots of town and its folks. The thriller present stars R Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Divyendu Sharma and Babil Khan. It is directed by debutant Shiv Rawail.

“We are enthusiastic about serving our broad audiences with sequence and movies that they join with and love, and we wish to do extra of this. Yash Raj Films have outlined the essence of Indian film-making. They are some of the revered storytellers within the business,” Monika Shergill, VP, Content, Netflix India, said in a statement.

Akshaye Widhani, CEO, Yash Raj Films, said the partnership with Netflix will push the company as storytellers and help them showcase the Indian content to global audience.
