Polling begins on a slow note for Telangana Assembly elections

On a boring cloudy day, polling started on a slow note on Thursday morning for the 119 Telangana Assembly Constituencies. While some polling stations started performing at 7 a.m., different polling stations like these in Erraboda in Rajendranagar Constituency started performing at 7.20 a.m. A complete of 2290 candidates are in fray together with the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president and Chief Minister Okay. Chandrasekhar Rao, IT Minister Okay.T. Rama Rao, Telangana Congress president A Revanth Reddy, BJP chief Bandi Sanjay, cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin amongst others.

Police threw a safety cordon across the polling stations limiting the entry to some stretches of roads. Community halls, authorities faculties, personal faculties and performance halls have been transformed into polling stations to make sure easy accessibility to voters. Civic employees marked out white traces to demarcate the outer limits past which volunteers and polling brokers of political events helped voters.

A complete of 12,000 polling stations have been recognized as crucial and extra forces have been deployed there to maintain voting free and honest. There are a complete of 35,655 polling stations throughout the state.
