Punam Yadav of Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB) received the gold medal within the senior ladies’s 81kg of the Indian Weightlifting Federation (IWLF) Youth Junior and Senior National Weightlifting Championship 2022-2023.

Railways’ Punam Yadav created two new information to bag the gold medal within the National weightlifting championships right here on Friday. The 27-year-old from Varanasi, a medallist within the 2014 & 2018 Commonwealth Games, lifted 100kg in snatch and had a complete of 222.
The 27-year-old broke her personal report in snatch (99) and whole (220) set within the Visakhapatnam Nationals in 2019. Vansita Verma of Chandigarh had to accept silver as she totalled 213kg, with a nationwide report in clear and jerk (123kg), set by Swapna Priya Baruah (121) in Visakhapatnam Nationals.
