Question Time viewers brand Fiona Bruce ‘worst host ever’ as she breaks her rule

BBC viewers have been left fuming over Fiona Bruce showing to interrupt her personal rule simply moments into the Question Time Leaders special.

The presenter hosted the two-hour programme on Thursday, with a dwell viewers grilling Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Sir Keir Starmer, Sir Ed Davey and John Swinney MSP.

This adopted numerous debates including on ITV and Sky News within the run as much as the General Election on July 4, as the politicians have been backing their manifestos.

Viewers nevertheless had been left distracted from the solutions the politicians had been giving to members of the viewers, and as a substitute targeted on Bruce’s feedback, with many outraged that she seemed to be ‘interrupting’.

Moments into the programme, Bruce launched Liberal Democrats chief Sir Ed, explaining: ‘Just to say that our guidelines listed here are fairly easy. For each chief they’re the identical.

‘You won’t get interrupted if you happen to hold your questions fairly transient, and also you truly reply the query.’

‘My job here is to keep you to the point,’ she continued, main into the primary query.

‘Fiona Bruce, introducing Ed Davey, says “You won’t be interrupted” then proceeds to interrupt him all through his makes an attempt to reply questions. She’s the worst host possible,’ @PJMCM blasted.

@LynnBraben added: ‘Fiona Bruce said she wouldn’t interrupt. Well THAT lasted all of two minutes…’

Earlier this month, Bruce was widely praised for her ‘brutal’ put down of Nigel Farage throughout Question Time.

The Reform Party honorary president, 60, was requested by the BBC presenter why he’d made a number of media appearances this week to entrance the celebration’s election marketing campaign when he gained’t be standing for MP.

He responded: ‘Don’t ask me, you invited me on the present.’

But then Bruce fired some critical photographs on the former I’m A Celebrity contestant, as she replied promptly: ‘We actually asked Lee Anderson but he wasn’t obtainable to come back on.’  

Of course, viewers had been left in bits in the mean time, with one saying Bruce’s quip ‘surprised’ them.
