Kakinada: Two Town police of Rajamahendravaram rescued a lady who jumped into River Godavari from the road-cum-railway bridge with the assistance of fishermen.
The police had obtained a name {that a} girl jumped into the river from the bridge.
Two Town sub-inspector S. Rathaiah and constable Leela Kumar rushed to the spot. They alerted fishermen who have been catching fish of their boats close to the spot.
The fishermen instantly reached the girl and pulled her out from the river.
Police introduced the girl to the police station and knowledgeable her relations.
The girl Dudala Nagalakshmi (40) had jumped into the river because of household disputes. Police counselled the relations and Nagalakshmi earlier than sending her dwelling.
