Top actors Rakul Preet Singh, Rana Daggubati and 10 others will likely be questioned in a four-year-old medicine case, sources have stated. The Enforcement Directorate has summoned Rakul Preet Singh on September 6, Bahubali actor Rana Daggubati on September 8, Telugu actor Ravi Teja on September 9 and director Puri Jagannadh on September 31.
In 2017, the Telangana Excise and Prohibition Department had registered 12 circumstances in after seizing medicine price Rs 30 lakh. Chargesheets have been filed in 11 circumstances.
Later, the Enforcement Directorate began investigation into the cash laundering angle within the Excise Department circumstances.
Rakul Preet Singh, Rana Daggubati, Ravi Teja or Puri Jagannath haven’t been named as accused. “It is premature to say whether they are involved in money laundering,” stated senior officers of the company.
So far, the 30 individuals have been arrested and 62 others questioned by the Excise Department in reference to the medicine case. Eleven of the persons are linked to the movie business.
