Sometimes one ends up in exile while waiting for coronation: Ex-M.P. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Keeping political pundits guessing about his future function in the Bharatiya Janata Party, former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has stated stated typically one ends up in “vanvas” while waiting for “rajtilak” (coronation).

After the BJP’s landslide victory in the Madhya Pradesh assembly polls held in November 2023, the get together selected Mohan Yadav because the Chief Minister, changing Chouhan who served because the state’s CM for 4 instances.

Previous govt’s scheme to proceed

The former chief minister stated all of the works started by the previous BJP government, together with the Ladli Behna Yojana (for ladies’s welfare), housing scheme for beneficiaries of the Ladli Behna scheme, a scheme of one job in every household and guarantees made to farmers, shall be fulfilled by the current authorities.

He said the present ruling dispensation will implement all these schemes as there is BJP’s government in the State and not of the Congress.

The former CM also noted that children who were among the audience had come to show their love for “mama” (maternal uncle – as Mr. Chouhan is popularly referred).

Earlier, numerous BJP staff and girls welcomed Mr. Chouhan on his arrival in Shahganj.

Mr. Chouhan received the election from Budhni meeting seat by a margin of greater than 1.04 lakh votes over his Congress rival Vikram Mastal.

In the November 2023 state elections, the BJP bagged 163 of the 230 meeting seats, posting a powerful victory and retaining energy in the central state.

The Opposition Congress was relegated to a distant second spot with victory in 66 meeting segments, while one seat was received by the Bharat Adivasi Party.
