Heavy rain on Sunday evening and Monday have inundated massive tracts of paddy crop in a number of villages in the tail-end Delta area of Cuddalore district. The heavy rain prompted the district administrations of Cuddalore and Villupuram to declare a vacation for faculties and schools in the area.
