Sudden showers bring much-awaited respite from heat in Vijayawada

Finally, the sky opened in Vijayawada on Saturday, April 13, after per week of searing temperatures and heatwaves in the previous few days.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) bulletin launched earlier this week, thunderstorms, accompanied by lightning and lightweight rain, are doubtless at remoted locations in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam from April 11 to 14 resulting from decrease tropospheric South-Easterly/Southerly winds prevailing over the State and Yanam.

A couple of locations in the North Coastal A.P. obtained rainfall in the final three days, bringing aid to individuals from the summer season heat whilst temperatures soared to 43° Celsius. G. After per week of temperatures hovering over 40° C each day, town’s most temperature dropped to 38° C on Saturday.

The brief spell of rain, accompanied with thunderstorms that lasted for an hour, induced inundation of metropolis roads.

Pleasant climate is more likely to proceed at remoted locations in the State on Sunday, after which sizzling, humid, and discomforting climate, together with heatwaves, is more likely to persist.
