SRINAGAR/JAMMU: The assault on BJP’s Bandipora district president Waseem Bari was “pre-planned” by two Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorists, IGP-Kashmir Vijay Kumar stated on Thursday, including that every one 10 private safety officers (PSOs) of the politician have been dismissed from service and arrested as effectively.
Kumar, who on Thursday visited the positioning of the assault, examined the CCTV footage recorded by a digicam on the police station reverse to the slain BJP functionary’s home. “We have checked the CCTV footage in the presence of Army and CRPF officers. Two terrorists from Lashkar-e-Taiba carried out the attack. One is a local, who has been identified as Abid, and the other is a Pakistani. The Resistance Force (TRF), an amalgam of LeT, Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Hizbul Mujahedeen (HM) terror outfits, on Thursday claimed accountability of the killings.

SSP (Bandipora) has suspended all the 10 PSOs and we are dismissing them from service. They all stand arrested,” he stated.
The IGP stated Waseem had visited his ward and returned dwelling together with all PSOs. “After entering his house, his PSOs went to their rooms. Waseem then went to his shop on the ground floor of his house where his father and brother were also present. That’s when they were shot,” the IGP Kumar stated.
In his varied video messages on social media platforms, Waseem had been expressing his dedication on increasing BJP’s footprints in Kashmir Valley. “I will do my best for the expansion of the party through nationalist forces in the valley. This time BJP will win 20-25 seats in Kashmir,” he had stated in one of many movies.
On Monday, Waseem had celebrated the 119th delivery anniversary of Shayama Prasad Mukherjee. In a video message on fb, he shared footage of the occasion and highlighted the significance of ‘Aatma Nirbhar Bharat’. His dwelling was embellished with BJP flags.

“This cowardly act will not deter BJP activists from carrying out their pro-people activities in Kashmir Valley,” one of many protestors stated.
