As a part of this initiative, Kroger Plus loyalty members can access a free 30-minute virtual consultation with a registered dietitian. This service is designed to support those who may feel confused about starting their journey toward better nutrition.

Colleen Lindholz, the president of Kroger Health, emphasized that customers are eager to improve their health. “OptUP Your Nutrition will empower them with the knowledge to make informed food choices,” she said. The goal is to help individuals take small steps that lead to significant changes over time.

The program offers convenient coaching that includes budget-friendly meal planning advice, making grocery shopping easier and more enjoyable. Dietitians will also showcase features from the FoodHealth Score by bitewell, which rates products based on their nutrient quality. Participants will learn about MyNutrition Insights, a tool that helps track the nutritional value of their purchases.

Laura Brown, head of nutrition at Kroger, mentioned that this program ensures everyone can access reliable nutrition information, regardless of their circumstances. Participants can benefit from this service without needing to buy specific products. Kroger Plus membership is available to everyone, regardless of health insurance status.
