Our Take on AMD’s New Graphics Cards
We rated the AMD Radeon RX 9070 an 8/10. It’s priced similarly to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 but offers better performance in most games we tested. Plus, it has more VRAM—16GB compared to the 12GB of the RTX 5070—so it seems future-proof. It consumes about the same power as the RTX 5070.
We gave the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT a perfect score of 10/10. It’s $150 cheaper than the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti but outperforms it in many games. In some benchmarks, the gap is substantial. Like the RX 9070, it has 16GB of VRAM. However, it does draw more power and runs hotter than the RTX 5070 Ti.
