Unveiling the Google Pixel 10 Trio: A Sneak Peek at These Familiar Yet Exciting Smartphones!

With Android 16 launching in June and the Pixel 9a coming this month, it’s a good time to peek into what’s next for Google’s Pixel line in 2025. We’ve long speculated that Tensor G5 might bring major upgrades to Google’s smartphones. However, aside from some internal specs and buzz about AI features, details about the Pixel 10 series have been scarce. A recent leak has now revealed what the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL might look like, and they look quite familiar.

This leak comes from OnLeaks and Android Headlines, who shared renders of all three models. You might notice these images feel like they could belong to last year’s Pixel 9 series. After years of refining the design with its signature camera bar, Google seems to be sticking with a look that works for them.

Already a Pixel 9 owner? You might have a sense of the Pixel 10’s design.

And is that a bad thing?

The overall design hasn’t changed much at all. The bezels, curved corners, and flat edges keep a familiar vibe. This is a shift from Google’s earlier patterns. Since the Pixel 6, each version has kept a consistent identity while tweaking known issues. For instance, the Pixel 7 series introduced a cover for the camera bar to help reduce reflection problems seen in the Pixel 6. Clearly, Google likes the modern style of the Pixel 9 enough not to change it significantly.

Not only do the designs look alike, but the sizes are also very similar. The Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro are only a millimeter thicker than their predecessors—8.6mm versus 8.5mm. This slight increase contrasts with many competing smartphones. The Pixel 10 Pro XL remains at 8.5mm but is a tiny bit taller. It seems both the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro will share cases, making them even more alike.

If there’s one notable change, it might be the camera. The Pixel 10 could feature a third lens based on the CAD renders, though details about this additional sensor are still unknown.

Fans of the camera bar from the Pixel 9a need not worry—Google isn’t ditching its key design element. The camera bar remains prominent, adding an extra 3.4mm in thickness to the Pixel 10, with similar figures likely for its Pro counterparts.

Of course, it’s wise to take this information cautiously. Just last month, OnLeaks and Android Headlines showed renders for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 that looked very similar to its predecessor. They later updated their coverage to reveal new designs. Though OnLeaks and Android Headlines usually provide reliable info, the lack of fresh changes for the Pixel 10 is worth considering.

Still, would it surprise anyone if Google kept a similar look for this year’s phones? The Pixel 9 series received positive reviews, and with Tensor G5 ready to take center stage, 2025 might focus more on software and AI enhancements. With Apple pushing back its Siri updates, Google might just have the upper hand in the mobile AI race.
