Varun Gandhi, who has been vital of the Agnipath scheme, had requested in a tweet “can we, the MLAs/MPs, give up our pension to ensure that Agniveers get a pension”.

Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on June 28 made mild of get together colleague and Lok Sabha MP Varun Gandhi’s routine utterances on numerous points, which appear to be in opposition to the BJP’s official line, by claiming the latter was “fond of giving personal opinions on a daily basis”.

Mr. Gandhi had final week requested why elected representatives needed post-retirement benefits when these being chosen within the Centre’s Agnipath military recruitment scheme won’t be given pension as soon as their four-year tenure will get over.

The Pilibhit MP, who has been critical of the scheme because it was unveiled on June 14, had requested in a tweet “can we, the MLAs/MPs, give up our pension to ensure that Agniveers get a pension”.

Queried on Mr. Gandhi’s statements, Mr. Tomar mentioned, “This can be his personal opinion as he is fond of giving personal opinions on a daily basis.” Speaking on the Maharashtra disaster because of the insurrection within the ruling Shiv Sena, Mr. Tomar mentioned “BJP has no interference in Maharashtra”.

The Union Minister of Agriculture expressed confidence that the ruling BJP will win the upcoming native physique polls in Madhya Pradesh as a consequence of improvement works undertaken.
