Yes Bank co-founder Rana Kapoor gets bail in bank fraud case; to walk out of jail after four years

A particular court docket in Mumbai on April 19 granted bail to Yes Bank co-founder Rana Kapoor in the ₹466.51 crore bank fraud case, paving the way in which for him to walk out of jail after four years.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested Kapoor in March 2020 in a cash laundering case, and he has been booked in eight circumstances associated to fraud on the bank.

The banker has now secured bail in all of the circumstances.

Kapoor’s lawyer Rahul Agarwal mentioned they have been making an attempt to full the bail formalities to facilitate his launch as early as potential.

The court docket has granted bail to Kapoor in the CBI’s case towards him and Avantha Group promoter Gautam Thapar for allegedly indulging in legal conspiracy, legal breach of belief, dishonest and forgery for diversion of public cash to the tune of ₹466.51 crore.
