Behind the scenes of ‘Sunflowers Were the First Ones to Know’ 

Four college students from the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in Pune, have pulled off the exceptional achievement of getting their brief movie, Sunflowers Were the First Ones to Know, securing a spot in the competition at the La Cinef part of the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. The movie, directed by Chidanand S Naik, will likely be amongst 17 different shorts vying for prime honors at this yr’s cermony.

The Cannes Film Festival, scheduled from May 14 to 25, will witness a various array of entries from numerous corners of the globe, together with Lebanon, China, Italy, Mexico, and extra. The jury, that includes Marie-Castille Mention-Schaar and Belgian actress Lubna Azabal, will adjudicate the contenders for the La Cinef prizes, to be bestowed on May 23 at the Bunuel Theatre.
