The mission, titled Checkmate, hinges on a e-book proposal by American author Ben Mezrich. Mezrich’s earlier books have been tailored into internationally acclaimed movies like The Social Network and Dumb Money.
According to the report, A24 beat out main studios and streamers with their bid for Checkmate. The e-book is alleged to spotlight the most important scandal within the historical past of chess, centering on the generational rivalry between “Grandmaster Magnus Carlsen and the young bad boy of chess, Hans Niemann.”
