The metropolis’s Parks and Recreation Department will host a grand opening celebration and ribbon chopping for Evanston’s new skate park in Twiggs Park, positioned at 1901 Simpson St. The festivities are open to all group members and can happen from midday to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 6.

Local skate teams and companies are supporting the celebration with raffles, video games, and merchandise gross sales. Thanks to the assist of CCBEL and Teska Associates, the skate park consulting companies, the primary 200 individuals will obtain a free BBQ slider from Soul & Smoke, who will likely be on-site to promote their fare.
