IndiGo Orders 30 Giant Airbus A350 Aircraft For Ultra Long-Range Flights

Making its first-ever buy of widebody plane, IndiGo has positioned an order of 30 A350-900 jets with Airbus. IndiGo, which has a 60% share of the Indian aviation market, goals to double its capability by 2030 and develop its community internationally. 

In addition to the acquisition of 30 planes, IndiGo has additionally signed up for buy rights for 70 further A350 plane. The new planes will enable the airline to function ultra-long-distance flights — together with doable India-US direct flights — placing it in direct competitors with Air India and Vistara.

The airline has mentioned the precise configuration of the planes will likely be determined later and that deliveries are anticipated to start three years from now, in 2027.
