The 17th version of the IPL registered record-breaking viewership on the opening day with 16.eight crore individuals watching the glittering ceremony and the sport, in keeping with the host broadcaster.

The record-breaking TV viewership on the opening day comes on the again of an array of programmes within the lead-up to the 17th season which attracted greater than 24.5 crore viewers until every week previous to the beginning of the event.
