The Israel Defense Forces confirmed Tuesday that it has gained operational control of the Gazan side of the Rafah Crossing.

The IDF launched a press release saying its forces started a “precise counterterrorism operation” in jap Rafah.

Since the operation started, about 20 Hamas terrorists have been killed and three operational tunnel shafts have been discovered. No accidents have been reported, the IDF mentioned.

The IDF mentioned floor troops are “continuing to operate against Hamas terrorist operatives and infrastructure in the area of the Rafah Crossing in eastern Rafah.”
