Keke Palmer and SZA join forces in Issa Rae-produced buddy comedy

Keke Palmer and SZA are teaming up for a big-screen journey in an upcoming untitled buddy comedy, produced by Issa Rae. Following their profitable collaboration on Saturday Night Live, Palmer and Grammy-winning artist SZA are set to deliver their chemistry to the forefront of a brand new venture below TriStar Pictures.

Directed by Lawrence Lamont, identified for his work on Rap Sh!t, and that includes a screenplay by Syreeta Singleton, plot particulars are being saved below wraps for now.

Palmer made Emmy historical past along with her present Turnt Up With the Taylors and as the primary Black girl to win Outstanding Host for NBC’s Password reboot. SZA, an Oscar nominee and four-time Grammy winner, topped charts along with her debut album Ctrl and acquired crucial popularity of her collaboration with Kendrick Lamar on “All the Stars” for Black Panther, nabbing Grammy and Oscar nominations.

Palmer has starred in greater than 25 movies and 30 TV reveals together with Jordan Peele’s Nope and Fox produced Scream Queens. For SZA, this enterprise marks her performing debut.
