Pockets in south Mumbai plunged into darkness on Thursday evening following a snag, electrical energy officers stated.

Localities across the Mahapalika Marg, GT Hospital, Crawford Market and Marine Lines witnessed energy outage from 2035 hrs onwards and the restoration of provide began solely previous 2105 hrs.

The snag was triggered by a tripping in a provide line, the facility discom Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) endeavor stated.

A BEST spokesperson stated a 33 Kilovolt feeder from Tata Power’s Carnac Bunder facility, which involves the G T Hospital receiving station operated by it tripped, ensuing within the electrical energy outage.

The energy provide has been totally restored now, the spokesperson stated.

Tata Power, in a late evening assertion, stated the electrical energy provide was affected because of 33KV cable fault of BEST.
