MUMBAI: Central govt has re-appointed T Rabi Sankar as deputy governor of RBI for one 12 months, efficient from May 3, 2024, or till additional orders.
Sankar, who holds an M Phil in economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, assumed the place of deputy governor in May 2021. Prior to his appointment, he served as government director at RBI.
Beginning his profession at RBI in 1990, he has held numerous roles together with tasks in funds & settlement, monetary markets, and public debt administration.His experience encompasses trade charge, reserves portfolio, and public debt administration, financial operations, and the event, regulation, and surveillance of monetary markets.
