Bollywood actress Richa Chadha revealed that she had “terrible experiences” with female producers who pose as feminists. During an interview with News18, the actress talked about her toxic co-actors who continually compete with her. Additionally, the actress said that she would not suppose all girls are saints and that there are “enough vile women around us”.
Richa opened up about experiences with female producers and co-actors. The actress mentioned she would not imagine within the notion that every one girls are saints. She revealed she has encountered detrimental experiences with female producers who’ve posed as feminists on Twitter (now referred to as X). She mentioned, “I’ve additionally had toxic co-actors continually competing with me by not giving the correct cues and slicing out the lights in scenes. I can’t say that I’ve had a uniform, monolithic expertise. Sisterhood positively exists and it’s actual whenever you construct it, craft it and nurture it. But it takes multiple individual to perceive and create that.”
While speaking about vile women”, Richa stated, “I think it’s an anti-feminist notion to think that women are not capable of evil. That’s just a dumb thing. We have enough vile women around us. Women defending rapists are vile, corrupt and horrible but they’re often in positions of power. They’re often given a platform by the media too…I know plenty of women who are downright patriarchal and misogynist and plenty of men who are feminists. It’s not a gendered thing.”
Richa recently starred in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web series ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’. She plays the character of a courtesan Lajjo in the series. Apart from Richa, the series stars Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Sheikh, and Sharmin Segal in pivotal roles.
‘Heeramandi’, which is set against the backdrop of the 1940s Indian liberation struggle, promises to be an epic tale of love, power, revenge, and freedom. The series explores the cultural reality of Heeramandi in great detail through the tales of courtesans and their patrons.
