India will watch for Canadian police to share data on the three Indian men it has arrested and charged with the homicide of a Khalistani terrorist final 12 months, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar mentioned on Saturday.

Canadian police charged the three on Friday over the homicide of Hardeep Singh Nijjar and mentioned they have been probing whether or not the suspects had hyperlinks to the Indian authorities.

Mr Jaishankar mentioned he had seen information of the arrests and mentioned the suspects “apparently are Indians of some kind of gang background… we’ll have to wait for the police to tell us.”

Sanjay Verma, India’s excessive commissioner to Canada, mentioned that it hopes to get common updates from Canadian authorities concerning the three arrested Indians.

“I understand that the arrests have been made as a result of investigations conducted by the relevant Canadian law enforcement agencies. This issue is internal to Canada and therefore we have no comments to offer in this regard,” Mr Verma added.

The trio, all Indian nationals, have been arrested within the metropolis of Edmonton in Alberta on Friday, police mentioned.

Nijjar, 45, was shot useless in June outdoors a gurdwara in Surrey, a Vancouver suburb with a big Sikh inhabitants. Just a few months later, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau alleged Indian authorities involvement, prompting a diplomatic disaster with New Delhi.
