Tank Dell injured in shooting: Texans owner says young WR will make ‘full recovery’ and is in ‘good spirits’

Texans broad receiver Tank Dell suffered a minor damage after he was the sufferer of a taking pictures incident in Sanford, Florida, on Saturday, the group introduced on Sunday. The 24-year-old has since been launched from the hospital and is mentioned to be in good spirits.

“We have been made aware that Tank Dell was a victim of a shooting in Sanford, Fla. last night. He sustained a minor wound but has been released from the hospital and he is in good spirits. We are in contact with him and his family and will provide more updates when appropriate but we ask that you please respect his privacy at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved in the incident.”

Texans owner Cal McNair mentioned on Monday that Dell is anticipated to be OK, however will need to rehab.  

“It looks like Tank will make a full recovery,” McNair mentioned, by way of ESPN. “We saw him in the office the other day and he looked good, in good spirits. But he’ll have to rehab and get back to where he was.”

The Florida native burst onto the scene as a rookie and proved to be a useful goal for eventual Offensive Rookie of the Year, quarterback C.J. Stroud.
