The 31st Screen Actors Guild Awards took place recently, celebrating outstanding performances in film and television.

In film, the award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture went to Conclave. Timothée Chalamet earned the title of Best Leading Actor for his role in A Complete Unknown, while Demi Moore took home the Best Leading Actress award for her performance in The Substance. Kieran Culkin won Best Supporting Actor in a Film for A Real Pain, with Zoe Saldaña winning for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Emilia Pérez.
On the television side, Shogun was a big winner, securing three awards, including Best Drama Series Ensemble. Anna Sawai was recognized as Best Actress in a Drama Series, and Hiroyuki Sanada was named Best Actor for the same category.
Only Murders in the Building took home the award for Best Comedy Series Ensemble. Martin Short won Best Actor in a Comedy Series, and Jean Smart received the award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in Hacks.
In the limited series category, Jessica Gunning won Best Actress in a Television Movie or Limited Series for Baby Reindeer, while Colin Farrell was awarded Best Actor for The Penguin.
The preshow recognized the winners in the stunt ensemble categories, with The Fall Guy winning for film and Shogun for television.
This year’s ceremony was hosted by Kristen Bell, who was also nominated for her performance in Nobody Wants This. During the event, Jane Fonda was honored with the prestigious Life Achievement Award.
Due to wildfires in Los Angeles, the guild decided against a live nominations announcement last month and instead shared the news via press release. They encouraged everyone to support those affected by donating to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s natural disaster relief fund.
