The 2025 World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway is in full swing. With four nights completed and four more to go, the excitement is building. Championship contenders are beginning to stand out in four key divisions: Super Late Models, Pro Late Models, Tour-type Modifieds, and Florida Modifieds.
In the Super Late Model division, five drivers are battling closely for the top spot. Derek Griffith, a two-time champion, is currently leading. He’s had finishes of second, third, and eighth in his races so far. Griffith holds a slim four-point lead over Gavan Boschele, who recently won the Clyde Hart Memorial. Cory Hall, George Phillips, and Cole Butcher are just six points behind him, making this race very competitive.
This Wednesday night, the Super Late Models will compete in a 35-lap race. They will wrap up the week with the Orange Blossom 100 on Thursday.
In the Pro Late Model division, defending champion Hunter Wright has a solid 24-point lead over Brody Monahan. Wright is hoping to become the first driver to win back-to-back titles in this category.
The Pro Late Models will race in the Hart to Heart 100 on Wednesday and will finish their week with a 35-lap event on Thursday.
Patrick Emerling leads the Tour-type Modified division after securing a win on Tuesday and finishing third on Monday. He has a slight lead over Stephen Kopcik, who is just two points behind after a strong start to the week.
Three races are left for the Tour-type Modifieds, including Wednesday’s John Blewett III Memorial and Friday’s Richie Evans Memorial. There’s also a 50-lap feature on Thursday.
Stay tuned as the action continues this Wednesday, featuring the John Blewett III for Tour-type Modifieds and the Hart to Heart 100 for Pro Late Models, along with more races in the Super Late Model and Modified divisions. Fans can catch all the excitement live on FloRacing.
