TRADE: Steelers send No. 76 and No. 121 to the 49ers for No. 58
This trade allows the 49ers to add extra picks while the Steelers can secure a higher selection. History shows that teams usually don’t slide down that far without getting something substantial in return.
Round 2 – Pick 58: Domonique Orange, DT, Iowa State
Some might see this as a stretch, but I believe Orange is a type of player Pittsburgh should consider. He can play several positions on the defensive line and excels at stopping the run. With Pittsburgh’s ongoing struggles in that area, he could be a valuable asset.
Round 3 – Pick 85: Daylen Everette, CB, Georgia
The Steelers have shown interest in Everette at the Georgia Pro Day and during the Combine. He has the potential to grow behind established players like Joey Porter Jr. Pittsburgh seems keen on cornerbacks, making this a strategic choice.

TRADE: Steelers send No. 135, No. 216, and No. 230 to the Bills for No. 126
This trade allows the Steelers to climb higher, trading multiple late-round picks. It makes sense for them to focus on quality over quantity, as managing 12 rookies would be tough.
Round 4 – Pick 126: Jakobe Thomas, S, Miami (FL)
Thomas, who visited the Steelers, is a versatile safety. He can defend against deep routes and tackle well. With no early safety picks, snagging him is a smart move for future depth.
Round 5 – Pick 161: Harold Perkins Jr., LB, LSU
Perkins has experience in various positions and was once a highly regarded prospect. His raw skills need refinement, but he offers considerable upside, particularly in special teams.
Round 7 – Pick 224: Emmanuel Henderson Jr., WR, Kansas

Final Thoughts
This draft strategy balances the team’s needs, with a focus on offense and defense. Five offensive players and four defensive players fill critical gaps. While I wished for an early tight end pick, adding depth in safety and linebacker spots makes sense. An investment in the offensive line, especially with Ioane, is crucial for the team’s future.
Analyzing trends, it’s clear that fans are eager for more dynamic players, especially in the offensive line and receiver positions. The Steelers have a chance to make impactful decisions that can shape the team for years to come.
